The Program is designed to develop future leaders from entry level positions and moving them to Senior Managers. It supports our aim to grow a large percentage of tomorrow's top management from within the company. It also provides a continuous stream of talent, able to make an impact at all levels of the organization as the careers of the individual's develop.
The program stretches over a period of six month in which selected graduates will be rotated in various technical job functions through practical learning and coaching from Senior Directors.
It is a structured program that puts graduates in the spotlight from Day 1. We offer distinctive development assignments each of which has specific on-the-job "learnings", which are combined with formal /practical training courses. Within-going evaluation of progress at various intervals, the graduate completes a standard assessment process with their Team Supervisor and is put on a mentoring program. Qualifications: - A minimum of B.Sc. degree (minimum of second class Upper) in any major:

| Visafone sacks 60 workers, Stanbic IBTC sacks 250 Posted: 02 May 2013 06:47 AM PDT Why are Naija companies laying off staff? Yesterday April 30th Visafone fired over 60 of their staff nationwide. Stanbic IBTC also sacked 250 of their staff. The sack takes effect from today May 1st. The Stanbic IBTC sack yesterday crossed across all levels, from management to lower level staff and I hear this is just the first batch. The bank is planning to do another round later this year. The sack at Stanbic yesterday only affected full staff employees as the bank intends to make its workforce 20% permanent staff and 80% contract staff. The total workforce before the sack yesterday was about 3000. The sad part is there are so many fresh graduates in the job market…and no jobs! - Design, update and implement personnel management systems in conformity with generally accepted personnel policies, which result in the effective and efficient management of TSHIP employees.
- Manage TSHIP staff welfare and safety.
- Ensure that TSHIP policies are following the Nigerian labour law through the life of the project.
- Co-ordinate personnel related activities, such as recruitment, training, deployment, reward and compensation, and processing of related personnel documents.
- Lead, organize and co-ordinate the staff performance review and evaluation process.
- Lead and co-ordinate job evaluations and reviews.
- In consultation with senior management and supervisors, develop annual and implement staff development plan.
- Monitor the impact of existing policies on the organisational culture and the overall success of TSHIP and recommend necessary changes where necessary.
- Monitor trends in employee behaviour, i.e. absence and turnover, and advise supervisors and the COP as appropriate.
- Monitor productivity of staff in relation to utilization and achievement of TSHIP goal and objectives and advise the recommend management decision/action where necessary
- Maintain up-to-date personnel information on all employees.
- Maintain employees' files and all HR records.
- Keep tracking of vacations and sick leave balances.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all members of staff and with contacts both within and outside TSHIP.
- Forward any changes in staffing (new hire, leaving, salary changes…etc.) to finance in order to take the necessary action toward payroll.
- Advice the COP and DF&SS on personnel matters.
- Ensure that TSHIP supervisors understand their personnel management role, in particular in relation to performance appraisal and staff development.
- Other duties as assigned by superiors within the capacity of his/her field of profession.
Skill set - Working knowledge of office management.
- Ability to work with and manage a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to analyse strategic goals, evaluate the implications with regard to human resource management and develop strategies to support organisational strategic goals.
- Ability to manage and monitor the human resources budget.
- High level of computer literacy, with competence in personnel management information systems, word-processing, spreadsheets, database and graphics packages.
